The Nature of Greed

The nature of greed arises from the fact that the needs are few but the wants are many. One is never content with what one has, always attempting to possess more and more. Therefore, we should learn to treasure what we have, and not try to obtain what we don’t have by force.

Understanding the Law of Causality

Try not to cling to things or situations that we see in the present. The persons who you always want to get rid of now or hate the most may one day become the ones who bring you the greatest accomplishments. Whereas the ones you love and do not want to separated from may be the enemies of past lives. If we understand, and are deeply convinced of the law of causality, we will naturally know how to create positive karmic affinities with others, accepting the changing and impermanent nature of life, and thus stay at ease under all circumstances.

Avoiding the Trap of Hatred

When someone harbors resentment, he or she is creating the causes of suffering, and is even unaware of the painful consequences of negative karma. Therefore, we should be compassionate to that person and not fall into the same trap of hatred.

The Power to Change

Sometimes we might think: “Why am I so small now, without any power? I even feel that I do not have the power to care for myself.”

Of course, these are not obstacles that others have given us, they occur as a result of our own actions. So, instead, we should repent. This will give us the opportunity for change. With the power of wanting to change, we can wake up. The karmic pain will be reduced, and good fortune will follow.

Fate is Given by Cause and Effect

The key to good or bad fortune depends on one’s inner discipline. The heart can create or change a career. Therefore, one’s destiny can be changed. The realisation of good results is the result of the accumulation of good thoughts and causes over time. So, bitter causes will give bitter results and happy causes will give happy results. If you want to be lucky and happy, you have to plant good thoughts and good causes.

Each Student is Special

Each encounter I have with every one of my students is special.

Although I have to go to many countries to promote the Dharma, no matter where I am in any corner of the world, as long as the heart is close, the distance is not far. The heart of the guru is always connected to the disciple, there is no limit to distance and space!

I pray that we will have a great good fortune in the world. That we can carry forward and protect the Dharma together. Help people relieve their pain. Achieve the fruit of the Buddha, and bring peace and happiness to all beings.
